Ski Biking in The Rocky Mountains
I FINALLY WENT SKIING. One of my bucket list items has been to go to Denver, Colorado to go skiing. And I finally did=) My cousin’s girlfriend/my cousin (lol) wanted to take a girl’s trip for her birthday and WE HAD A BLAST. We stayed in a beautiful 4-story Smart Penthouse. It was like SmartHouse in real life. The whole time I spent mostly eating. One of my favorite eating experiences was the bottomless MIMOSA TOWER at The Lobby Bar and Grille for Brunch, which was AMAZING.
So, let’s get to the skiing part. Okay for starters-I always thought of skiing like-oh this would be cute and so fun. NAH. I think if I didn’t have severe motion sickness and a fear of heights…I would’ve been fine. But I pretty much passed out on the ski lift and ended up throwing up once we got up to the mountains. That altitude and 10 degree weather was no joke! But it was absolutely beautiful! We ski biked, had waffles and chocolate and hot cocoa, and took a few pics. I was mostly incoherent for this experience. I was so out of it-now I can laugh about it. Then? Nah lol
We had a wine tasting Sunday, which lasted five hours! I was done for by the second winery we made it to. We went to a comedy show at the Denver Improv, watched plenty of movies, and lounged around the house that everyone was obsessed with. Somehow, I ended up making Shrimp and Lobster Grits for Jerrika’s Birthday. It was the least I could do. AND speaking of…that recipe will be up on the blog soon!
So! Check out the slideshow to see a little into my Denver adventures and the Youtube Video that i posted. Definitely a trip I will always remember =)
